A woman tragically lost her life in a collision between a truck and an autorickshaw on NH 16. The incident occurred on the stretch of road at Gaurachandrapur under Chandpur police station.
The autorickshaw, which was en route from Bhubaneswar to Banapur, was hit from behind by a truck, causing it to overturn. The victim, identified as Rajlaxmi Pattnaik from Banapur, was thrown from the auto and died on the spot.
The Chandpur police arrived at the scene after being notified and sent the body for postmortem. An investigation has been initiated, and an unnatural death case has been registered.
